Don Jacobs, FAIA

For over two decades, Don has served as the principal in charge of numerous award-winning single family, multi-family, senior housing, custom residences and mixed-use projects. He has designed more than 100 custom homes as well as office buildings, medical centers, golf clubhouses, and university facilities. Don's work has been published in a variety of international architectural magazines and books. In Addition to his involvement in the U.S., Don is currently working with clients in China, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Egypt, Jordan, India, Morocco and Ukraine.

Don speaks extensively on high density housing and senior housing at a number of conventions including the ULI, NAHB, PCBC, 50+ Housing Symposium, and Multi-Housing World Convention. His civic and professional involvements include being the 1996 Chair of the National AIA Housing Committee and serving as a liaison with the National AIA Construction Documents Committee. He is actively involved with the Building Industry Association and was recognized in 2000 as Volunteer of the Year for HomeAid, which raises money to help house the transitionally homeless. He serves on the Board of Directors for HomeAid America.

In 2008 Don and his wife, Julie Brinkerhoff-Jacobs, were honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as "Fundraiser Volunteer of the Year." Don, and again, his wife Julie, were inducted into the California Building Industry, Hall of Fame in San Francisco, CA in 2008.

Don is NCARB certified and is currently licensed in California, Texas, Illinois, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Georgia, Hawaii, and Delaware. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1967. Don is also a licensed architect in British Columbia, Canada.

Eric Zuziak, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB

Eric Zuziak completed his architectural internship at Richardson Nagy Martin from 1984 to 1991. He became a licensed architect in 1991. During that period he designed many award winning residential projects.

In 1991 Eric joined Dorius Architects as Director of Design where he supervised all architectural design activities at the firm. The firm later became JBZ Architecture and Planning in 1994, then later JZMK Partners in 2005. His primary responsibilities include the direct supervision of all architectural design activities at the firm, as well as business development and client relations. He brings over twenty eight years of design expertise to the firm. His designs have been published in numerous magazines and international professional journals. He has served as Principal-In-Charge for numerous projects including custom homes, multifamily projects, mixed-use developments, urban infill projects, residential high rises, resorts, senior communities, golf clubhouses, and a city hall. His designs have won national and international recognition with awards including the AIA Award of Merit, the Gold Nugget Award, the Builders Choice Award, the NAHB Nationals Award, and the MAME Award.

Eric speaks extensively at a number of conventions and conferences including the ULI, PCBC, NAHB, and the BIA. on subjects ranging from trends in residential architecture to high density urban infill design solutions. He has also served numerous times as a judge for the PCBC Gold Nugget Awards program.

Eric studied architecture at the University of Southern California School of Architecture, and is a licensed architect in California and Hawaii. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is NCARB certified. He is also a member of the US Green Building Council, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is active in fund raising efforts for the American Cancer Society, the YMCA, and Laguna Beach School Power. He is an avid surfer and volunteered as coach of the Thurston Middle School Surf Team, in Laguna Beach.

Anastacio "Cachi" Martinez, AIA

With over thirty years of experience in design and planning, Anastacio has been involved in numerous award-winning projects. His experience ranges from single family and multi-family housing to public projects including educational facilities to mixed-use and commercial projects. He attended Stanford University and received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona. Anastacio formed his own Newport Beach private practice in 1989, and was the owner/principal of Anastacio Martinez Associates (AMA) until 1995.

As Director of Operations for JZMK Partners since November of 1999, Anastacio is responsible for all aspects of project management, client relations, office management, supervision of design activities, and most importantly, continued growth of the company. In 2005, Anastacio also assumed the role of Director of Architecture, responsible for overseeing the quality control of the construction documents and the construction phase of all projects handled by the Architecture Studio. In April of 2007, he became Chief Operating Officer for the firm and now leads the strategic planning, such as financial strategies, business development, and legal issues. He also oversees the financial and operational activities of all satellite offices.

In addition to his responsibilities as C.O.O. of the firm, Anastacio is the lead Principal in the marketing efforts in the Middle East and Brazil. Also, he has directed several International Design Competitions in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Currently, he is also involved in the company's efforts in China.

Anastacio is a licensed Architect in California and Arizona since 1985 and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (C.A.S.H.).
